Emily ate a purple pen

 
If Emily could take selfies, they'd look a little
 like these photos my son took after she chewed up a purple Sharpie.
I'm glad I wasn't home at the time; he had to clean up the carpet.
 You've heard the term "purple prose"? Good thing Emily sticks with poetry.
