For three days I've been gone from early morning to late evening at the
Pacific Northwest Writers Conference taking place 45 min. down the road in SeaTac. Although my son was here to let the dogs out, none of the animals received the usual amount of exercise and attention during that time. This evening I arrived home to find
hungry adult son
hungry dogs
hungry snake
hungry parrots (blurry photos because a faster speed with flash would freak them out)
and chickens tucked up for the night.
I'll spare you photos of the amount of dirt that accumulated in the floor in that time.
Isn't it so nice to know how much you are needed? Haha. xo
ReplyDeleteGood thing it only lasted for three days! And I bet they are all glad you are home now!
ReplyDeleteBoy that pizza looks good!!! Ma is really droolin' all over the keyboard right now (I think I need to feed her). Isn't it funny how things 'kind-of' get done, but not really? Well, I'm sure you'll have things back to normal in no time!

Mom says you just can't depend on good help any more even if it is family. She says that our sissy probably would have done the same thing.
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots

Yes good help is hard to find. I'm sure you had it all fixed up in no time.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed the conference and learned new writing tips.

I imagine you got a really big welcome home though. No pics needed for the floor part because all I have to do is look around here after I've missed a day or two without sweeping/vacuuming to visualize what you're referring to. Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as though everyone was happy to see you! :)
